Buy and Save GoPro HD Helmet HERO Camera with Free Shipping, Review I can’t agree with the previous poster who said there is no support at GoPro. I’ve left four voice messages and all four calls were returned within the same company day. At their web site, download the PDF parts manual, and about the last page they list their phone number. Regarding the digital camera, I just received mine and have not utilized it on a job yet, but the tests I’ve shot so far appear very nice. It is impressive for this kind of a little guy and for such a reasonable price.
This is hands down the greatest inexpensive POV camera on the market. The picture is amazing, especially in great light. The formats are great and also the mounting options are only limited for your imagination. Couldn’t be happier with this digital camera.
I haven’t tried out the helmet mounts yet, though I did use the included head straps for a couple of videos. These turned out to be nausea-inducing, as I tended to turn my head a lot. I do not believe the helmet mounts will be any better, as I would still be turning my head a lot in most sports. I didn’t even think about the sound, but after reading the item literature I have to say I agree with their comments about sound high quality. Looking back over some other videos taken with still and video cameras I find that there is a lot of wind noise in most of them, whereas this camera in its waterproof case lets you hear ambient noise without having the wind noise.

I started using my new cam as soon as I opened the box. I took a little while to read the cleas instructions and the menu options - it is all very logically thought out and everything worked just as it stated.

This is a remarkable new tool. I have added a dimension to my work that is often astounding, particularly for such a small expenditure. My biggest concern is the delicacy of the waterproof lens cover. It scratches very easily so be wary how you store the unit or when setting it down. Sorting through the myriad mounting accessories is akin to rocket science but great fun nonetheless. I'll likely buy another one.
This is NOT the HD Helmet Hero your buying!!!
I ordered this, thinking it was the HD HELMET Hero as it states in the title. This is NOT true. The HD Helmet Hero comes with helmet straps for solid and vented helmets and also comes with a head strap for use without a helmet. The item I received was NOT the HELMET Hero, but the HD Motorsports version with the suction cup. Very disappointing... I will be returning this item for a refund.
